Vieta Heisler

Canton – Vieta Inman Heisler, 92, of the Bethel community, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2022, at her residence.

A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late James Anderson Inman and Jessie Virgie Mae Franks Inman.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Matthew Gerome Heisler, who passed away in 1999 after 50 years of marriage; and a dear son Wayne Andrew Heisler in 1989. Also, two brothers, Marvin and Wade Inman; and a sister Wanda Rogers.

Vieta loved reading, especially the word of God, and spending time with her family. Her Faith in God was monumental. She was always smiling, loved to laugh, encouraging and loved everyone. We will always remember the “bear hugs”.

She is survived by four children, Randy and his wife, Teresa Heisler, Anita and her husband, Ray Queen, Robert and his wife, Annette Heisler, Dean Heisler and his partner, Harold Roach; five grandchildren, Angie Vance, Rachael and her husband, Harold Shepard, Daniel Heisler, Kellie and her husband, Josh Burgess, Amanda and her husband, Ben Earley; ten great-grandchildren, Andrew and his wife, Jurnee Heisler, Anderson Heisler, Gracie Burgess, Anna Shepard, Rosie Burgess, Matthew Shepard, Levi Burgess, Mason and Madeline Earley and Casey Burgess; one great-great-grandchild, Conleigh Heisler; as well as many nieces, nephews and other cherished family members.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, October 10, 2022, at Bethel Baptist Church with the Reverend Dr. Roy Kilby and Reverend Cameron Kilby officiating. Burial will follow at Inman Chapel Cemetery.

The care of Mrs. Heisler has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Homes of Canton.
