Candler – Tracy Loman Plemmons, 72, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2023 at Pisgah Manor Health Care Center in Candler.
A native of Haywood County, Tracy was the son of the late Clarence and Jency Reece Plemmons. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie Plemmons. Tracy was a member of Morning Star United Methodist Church. He retired from Mission Hospital and was a former employee with LifeShare of the Carolinas.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Sheila Massie Plemmons of Candler; two daughters, Stacy Plemmons of Asheville and Shana Mandeville (Austin) of Candler; a son, Jimmy Plemmons (Felicia) of Canton; six grandchildren, Dakota, Nicholas, Aiden, Kager, Jency, and Russell; and two great-grandsons; Nathaniel and Branson.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend David Blackmon officiating. Honors will be conducted by the North Carolina Nurses Honor Guard recognizing his lifetime service in nursing. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
