Tom Chandler

Tom Lee Chandler, 87, of Waynesville passed away on Monday, December 27, 2021.

A lifelong resident of Haywood County, Tom was the son of the late Jefferson Davis and Helen Hampton Chandler.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Freida Lance Chandler in 2011.

Tom was a residential carpenter and well known throughout Haywood County.

He is survived by his daughters, Debra Chandler of Waynesville and Wanda Janes (Randy) of Clyde; son Ed Chandler of Waynesville; four grandchildren, Dustin Chandler (Billie), Shasta Janes, Jesse Janes (Patricia), and Myles Chandler and three great-grandchildren, Michael, Jillian and Tyler.

The care of Mr. Chandler has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Candler.
