Waynesville, Thomas Bryan Medford, 65, of the Jonathan Creek community passed away on March 15, 2018 at Memorial Mission Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom Howell and Doe Ann Thompson, and one brother, Robbie Robinson. In describing Tommy, one word comes to mind, kindhearted. He had a natural affinity for animals, which led him to collecting walnuts and feeding the squirrels. Tommy also had a passion for farming. He collected several different types of seeds, but his specialty was candyroasters. Once the candyroasters matured, he would bake delicious breads and deliver them to friends and family. With all the challenges he faced in life, Tommy maintained a humility and selflessness that will serve as his lasting legacy.
Thomas is survived by a son, Ben Medford; a daughter, Christy Medford, sister, Scotty Ellis and her husband, Doug of Waynesville, brother, Lee Medford, of Corpus Christi, Texas and his dearest dog companion, "Dro."
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 24, 2018 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home. A reception will follow the memorial service at Wells Events & Reception Center.
