Thomas Clark

Waynesville, Thomas Edward Clark, age 74, passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Maggie Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation.

A native of Haywood County, he was the son of Frances Grasty Clark and the late Manson Clark.  Thomas proudly served in the Army during the Vietnam War.  He was employed for many years at Square D / Schneider Electric as a materials handler.  Some of his favorite activities were watching and coaching sports as well as gardening.  Thomas liked getting involved and serving his church family at Rock Springs Baptist Church as a deacon and choir member.  A voice silenced is now in God’s heavenly choir.

Thomas is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Karen McCracken Clark; daughter, Monica Knight (Jeff); son, Scott Clark (Jenna); mother, Frances Grasty Clark; brother, Gene Clark; and two dear grandchildren, Carter and Penelope Clark.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 5, 2022 at Rock Springs Baptist Church in Clyde with Reverend Michael Leslie officiating.  Burial will follow at Upper Crabtree Community Cemetery with military honors.

The care of Mr. Clark has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
