Thomas Early

Canton - Thomas Marshall "Tommy" Early, 69, passed away on Friday, June 22, 2018 at his residence.

A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, he was the son of Hugh Junior and Jennie Mae Medford Early. Tommy was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and enjoyed wood working and gardening.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sons, Gregory Thomas Early and his wife, Melody, of Canton and Jeffrey Todd Early of Arden; a sister, Darlene Leatherwood of Waynesville; a brother Richard "Ricky" Early of Canton; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at Oak Grove Baptist Church with the Reverend Billy Ferguson and Reverend Jeff King officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service in the church vestibule.
