Waynesville, Thomas C. Angell, II, age 40, passed away on Tuesday, October 30, 2018.
A native of Warwick, Rhode Island, he was the son of Sue Cashion Angell and the late Thomas Carlisle Angell. Born during the blizzard of 1978 in Providence, Rhode Island, Thomas had an inherent love for the snow. By the age of three he had learned to ice skate. Maybe it was the freedom it provided or the rush of adrenaline, but his passion for the outdoors led him from ice skating to snowboarding. After college, he lived and worked in Miami Beach, but eventually returned to the ski slopes of Colorado, California and Vermont. Over time, Thomas drew on his increasing faith as he battled addiction. As he worked through his own difficulties, he was determined to give hope and comfort to those in need. His compassion for those in distress was well known to those on the receiving end of his kindness. The love and support he received from his parents, Uncle John, professionals, friends and his work family at Michael’s were crucial to his life.
In addition to Thomas’ mother, Sue, he is survived by his uncle John Cashion, of Kannapolis, North Carolina and numerous cousins.
