Sue Ellen Tabor Willis, 89, born on December 31, 1935, Andrews, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at home on October 17, 2025. A devoted homemaker, Sue, found great joy in nurturing her family and creating a loving environment. She will be fondly remembered by her family, particularly for her special homemade gingerbread cookies which brought warmth and joy to countless gatherings.

Sue's vibrant personality shone through her deep commitment to her family, especially as a grandmother. She took immense pride in her role, offering love and support to all her grandchildren. In addition to her family life, Sue was actively involved in her community. She dedicated her time to the Canton Youth League and was known for her enthusiastic support of the Atlanta Braves, a team she regarded as her number one favorite.

Sue's interests extended beyond the familial realm; she had a passion for sewing, utilizing her talents to create cherished items that showcased her creativity and love for craftsmanship.

She leaves behind her sons, Tim Willis (Lynn) and Michael Willis (Brenda), her daughter Patti Burnette (Kelly), along with her grandchildren Jason Willis, Matthew Willis, Kaylan Evans, Bartley Brown, and Haylee Tisdale. Sue was also blessed with great-grandchildren Grey Willis, Kaylee Willis, Theo Willis, Grant Evans, Claire Evans, McKenna Brown, Avery Tisdale, and Emily Tisdale.

Sue is preceded in death by her parents, William Harvey Tabor and Aslee Raxter Tabor, all seven of her brothers and sisters, her son Bobby Willis, and her beloved husband of 67 years, Ernest Edward Willis, who passed away in 2023.

A graveside service will be held in her honor at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens in Clyde, North Carolina, on October 20, 2025, starting at 2:00 PM with Pastor Farron Duncan officiating.

The family has entrusted Wells Funeral Home of Canton with Sue Willis’s Care.
