Clyde, Sue Jane Taylor Grasty, age 80, passed away on August 20, 2018 at Silver Bluff Village.
A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Alma Jones Taylor. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Medford and Elizabeth Barlow. Sue was a member of Woodland Baptist Church. She retired from Dayco Corporation in the shipping and receiving Department with 25 years of service. Sue loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Sue is survived by two sons, Michael Grasty (Julie), of Waynesville and Rodney Grasty, of Clyde; two sisters, Betty Allison and Kathy Whitaker (Keith), all of Clyde; brother, Robert Taylor, of Clyde; three grandchildren, Christina Grasty Roberts, Alma Grasty and Megan Grasty; three great-grandchildren, Zachary, Aaleyah and Aiden Grasty; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 26, 2018 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Michael Leslie officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
