Shirley Owenby

Asheville – Shirley Ann Warren Owenby, 81, passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at the Advent-Health Center in Hendersonville.

Shirley was a native of Haywood County and a daughter of the late Dallas and Lora Elizabeth Littrell Warren.  Rex Wyatt, her son, passed away just a week later after Shirley.  Shirley was employed for about 10 years with the City of Asheville as a clerk and was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Leicester.

She is survived by one daughter, Mary Honeycutt of Marshall; two sons, Dallas (Elana) and Robert Owenby, all of Asheville; one daughter-in-law, Dee Wyatt of Rock Hill, South Carolina; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will be held for Shirley and her son, Rex, at a later date.
