Shirley Carswell

Shirley Ann Carswell, age 73, died Thursday, June 26, 2008 at Mission Hospital – Memorial Campus. A native of Haywood County, she was a daughter of the late Lloyd and Oakla Brendle Sheehan. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Blayne Walton Carswell, who died in 2004; one sister and two brothers. She is survived by one son, Mike Carswell and his wife, Pat, of Waynesville; three sisters, Betty Sheehan of Waynesville, Patsy Roberts of Asheville, and Sharon Long of Bulls Gap, TN; two grandsons, Michael and Chris Bryson both of Waynesville; one granddaughter, Candy Carswell of Rutherfordton; three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 29, 2008 at the home. Memorials may be made to the Davita Waynesville Dialysis Center, 11 Park Terrace Drive, Clyde, 28721. Wells Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Canton is in charge of the arrangements.
