Sherwood Fulcher

Sherwood Edward “Happy” Fulcher, 81, of Asheville, passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2019 at his home.

A native of Norfolk, Virginia, he was the son of the late John William and Helen Lee Murphy Fulcher. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Anita Maxwell and a step-son, Steven Knight.  An all-around happy man, Sherwood had a deep love for all animals. He enjoyed listening to blue grass gospel music and watching westerns on television.

He is survived by his wife of almost 30 years, Wanda Fulcher; a son, Reid Fulcher; three daughters, Donna, Loretta and Beverly; one step-daughter in law, Melanie Knight; step-grandchildren Savannah, Michael, and Tyler; and several nieces, nephews, and many good friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 8, 2019 at Emma Heights Church of God at 645 Emma Road Asheville, NC 28806 with Reverend C. Lewis officiating.  The family will be receiving friends immidately following the service at the church.
