Sheila West

Fairview, Sheila Cole West, 78, passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Silver Bluff Nursing Facility. She was a former resident of Fairview and had lived in Haywood County for the past several years. Sheila was the daughter of the late J.M. and Artie Cole. She was preceded in death by her brother, Franklin D. Cole and sister, Glendal M. Hall. Sheila was a member of Springhill Baptist Church, Canton. Sheila's passion was to improve and save the lives of others at Memorial Mission Hospital, Operating Room, Asheville, where she retired with many years of service. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Marsha West Pucetas (Randy) of Spartanburg, South Carolina and Deborah West Caldwell of Waynesville and Jim West, of Canton; sister, Unav Cole; special cousins, nieces and nephews and childhood friend, Peggy. A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 15, 2017 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Doug Henson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
