Maggie Valley, Sharon Printz, 82, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2022 at her residence.

A native of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Albert Christman and Evelyn Kirby.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, who added the sweet measure of his soul to her existence for 48 years.  Sharon received her business degree with honors, while living in Miami, Florida and later became a NC Real Estate Broker.  She and her husband created Antiques and Edibles and Printz Realty in Maggie Valley.  An avid volunteer, the most memorable experience was six years as Social Director for Voices in the Laurel Children’s Choir of Haywood County.  Sharon also worked for REACH to improve the lives of domestic violence victims.

Sharon is survived by a daughter, Dori Printz Woodard, of Waynesville; son, Darrin Printz, of Maggie Valley; five granddaughters, Hayley and Reagan Printz, Heather Trinidad, Madison and Teal Woodard; and two great-grandchildren, Aiyana Rose Printz and Anderson Trinidad.

At Sharon’s request there will be no formal service.

Anyone wishing to remember her should do so through a contribution to their favorite charity, or The Open Door Ministries, 32 Commerce Street, Waynesville, NC 28786.
