Saundra Teague

Waynesville – Saundra Henson Teague, 80, passed away on Monday, June 6, 2022, at Mission Memorial Campus.

Saundra was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and daughter of the late Florin and Cordia Spivey Henson.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Teague, who died in 1996 and brother, Jimmy Henson.  Saundra retired from Haywood Regional Medical Center in 2008 with 30 years of service as a Licensed Practical Nurse.  She was a member of Calvary Road Baptist Church and traveled to the Holy Land on three different occasions.

She is survived by two daughters, Mary Ann Robinson (Tim) of Waynesville and Lora Lee Nelson of Franklin; two sons, Jeffrey Teague (Patty) of Waynesville and Steve Teague (Kelly) of Canton; and six grandchildren, four great granddaughters

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 11, 2022, in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend John Swanger III, Reverend Mark Golden, and Reverend J.D. Grant officiating.  Burial will follow at New Cruso Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
