Sarah Hampton

Waynesville, Sarah Lou Moody Hampton, age 89, passed away on Monday, October 21, 2019 at Haywood Regional Medical Center.

A native of Haywood County, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Jeanette Mae Hardin Moody.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Hollis Roy Hampton, who died in 2009; sister, Mildred Stepp; two brothers, Alvin and Frank Moody.  Sarah worked with Dayco corporation for 21 years in V-Belt and Shipping Departments.  She liked visiting with her friends, shopping and enjoyed a good cup of coffee.

Sarah is survived by three daughters, Sarah Wyatt, Rita Passmore (Johnny), and Linda Roland (Neal); son Roger Hampton; two brothers, Eugene and Jacky Moody; six grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at Green Hill Cemetery with Reverend Frank Wyatt officiating.
