Sarah Cordell

Candler – Sarah Jane Price Cordell, 85, went to her heavenly home on April 24, 2023 at Autumn Care of Waynesville.

Sarah was a native of Haywood County and the daughter of Willie and Allie Davis Price. She was also preceded in death by her husband Troy Cordell who passed away in 2003 and 11 siblings. She loved and cared for children in her home for several years before going to work at Hominy Valley Daycare. She also was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Asheville, North Carolina.

She is survived by two sons, Troy David Cordell of Whittier, and Jefferey Scott Cordell (Laurel) of Weaverville; two sisters, Martha Price of Clyde and Edith Martone of Yulee, Florida; cousin, Joe Bob Haney (Nancy) of Canton; grandson, Sullivan Isaac Cordell.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens. The Reverend Allen Rash will be officiating.
