Sandra Crawford

Maggie Valley, Sandra Marie Cira Crawford, 74, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Haywood Regional Medical Center.

A native of Indiana, she was a daughter of the late Anthony J. and Blanche Smolek Cira.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Ryan Simons.  Sandi retired after many years as a clerk with the United States Postal Service.  She enjoyed being outside, animals, especially cats and pottery.  Sandi volunteered with Feline Urgent Rescue (FUR) of Haywood County.

Sandi is survived by her goddaughter, Thuy Thuong "Joy" Trantham, and her husband, Chad; brother Ric Cira; three grand goddaughters; one grand godson; and one great-granddaughter.

A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 15, 2023 in the Canton chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Pastor Lee O’Briant officiating.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

The care of Ms. Crawford has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Candler.
