Samuel Cordaro

Waynesville, Samuel J. "Sam" Cordaro, age 70, of Teague Loop, died Friday, May 2, 2008 at Harris Regional Hospital. He was a native of Des Moines, Iowa and was a prior resident of Michigan before moving to Haywood County where he made his home for the past 33 years. He was the son of the late Samuel and Victoria Amadeo Cordaro. Sam was a teacher and was of the Catholic faith. He enjoyed tennis and handball. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Margery Kraeer Cordaro; a daughter, Cheryl Lowe and her husband, Rick and a son, William Waring, all of Michigan; a brother, Charles Cordaro of Iowa and four grandchildren. Funeral services and burial will be held in Michigan under the direction of Charles R. Step Funeral Home in Redford Township. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the USCSF Muscular Sclerosis, 400 Parnassus Avenue, 8th Floor, San Francisco, CA 94117.
