Sally Sorrells

Waynesville-Sally Ann LaBelle Sorrells, age 70, of 71 Beanie Road, died on April 5, 2006 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A native of Wayne County, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Bernard Emanuel and Elnora Peer LaBelle. She was a member of Camp Branch Missionary Baptist Church. She was a very loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and faithful friend and will be missed by her family and friends greatly. She is survived by her husband of 52 ½ years, Reverend Walter Edward Sorrells; two daughters, Patricia Jean Sorrells of Morganton, NC and Melissa Sorrells Singleton of Waynesville; three sons, Bernard Edward Sorrells and wife, Diane, of Raleigh, Paul Douglas Sorrells and wife, Trish, of Wilmington, NC, and Reverend Chris Jennings and wife, Allison, of Canton; one sister, Linda Susan Walters and husband, Bill, of Lincoln Park, MI; eight grandchildren, Geena, John, Michelle, Brian, Gage, Travis, Blake, and Drew; and several great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 7, 2006 at Camp Branch Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Chris Jennings and Reverend David Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Plott Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday evening at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
