Ruthe Taylor

"1934 – 2016" Candler – Ruthe Russell Taylor, age 81, former of Big Cove Community in Candler, passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at the Golden Living Center of Hendersonville. A native of Haywood County, she was a daughter of the late Carter and Neva Ferguson Russell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister; and one brother. She retired from American Enka with 35 years of service in 1999 and a member of Deaverview Baptist Church. Ruthe was a graduate of Candler High School having served as class president. She is survived by two sons, Eric Taylor and his wife, Scarlett of Canton and Neil Taylor of Candler; one brother, Bill Russell of Eugene, Oregon; six grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2016 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Pastor Dewayne Rathbone officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
