Ruth Haynes

Ruth Francis McElroy Haynes, age 81, died Tuesday, November 6, 2007, at Fleshers Fairview Health Care. She was a native of Haywood County and the daughter of the late James and Louise Nichols McElroy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold E. Haynes; two sisters, Barbara Medford and Shirley Roberts; and a brother, Bobby McElroy. She was a member of Calvary Road Baptist Church. Ruth had a special place in her heart for her two sons. She enjoyed shopping at Wal-Mart and reading in her spare time. She is survived by two sons, Clayton Haynes and his wife, "Lou" of Toccoa, GA and Ronnie Haynes of Asheville; a sister Judy Barnes and her husband, Dale of Waynesville; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 8, 2007 at Bon-A-Venture Cemetery, Old Clyde Road with the Reverend John Swanger officiating.
