Ruth Edwards

Clyde-Ruth Elizabeth Liner Edwards-91, formerly of West Canton died Wednesday, January 29, 2003 at Britthaven of Clyde after a brief illness.

She was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and a daughter of the late Paul and Minnie Dill Liner. She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Lester Clark and her 2nd husband, Horace Edwards, a daughter, Freda Ann Pressley, and a granddaughter, Tina Pressley. She was a member of West Canton Baptist Church.

She is survived by one son, Lewis Burgin Clark of Asheville, 5 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 1, 2003 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Homes with Reverend James Huey officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.
