Ruth Cabe

Canton - Ruth Clark Cabe, age 90, died Sunday, April 15, 2007 at Canton Christian Convalescent Center. She was a lifelong resident of Haywood County and a daughter of the late Josh M. and Ethel Grogan Clark. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack V. Cabe, who died in 1999; one daughter, Norma Jones; three sisters; one brother; and one granddaughter, Ruth E. King. Ruth was a member of the Canton First Baptist Church and a consummate homemaker, who loved gardening and taking great care of her home. She is survived by one son-in-law, Howard Jones, of Jacksonville, NC; two sisters, Frances Tapp of Floral City, FL and Shirlie Dameron of Greenville, SC; two grandchildren, Jackson E. Jones and his wife, Donna, of Jacksonville, NC and Eric L. Jones of Clyde; two great-grandchildren, Brandon and Brittany Jones of Canton. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, April 19, 2007 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home. Reverend James Parham and Reverend Jackson Shook will officiate. Entombment will follow at The Horizon at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
