Russell Brian "Rusty" Clark, age 39, died Monday, July 25, 2005 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. He was a native of Witchita County, TX and the son of Roger W. and Audrey Hall Clark of Clyde. He was an employee of McDonalds for 25 years and a member of Crestview Baptist Church. He was a United States Army veteran. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of five years, Jamie Brock Clark; three daughters, Sierra Rana, Skylar Clark and Taryn Birchfield; five sons, Lucas Clark, Aaron Clark, Ethan Barnes, Adam Birchfield and Bronson Brock; a sister, Rebecca "Becky" Kuykendall and her husband, Tommy of Clyde; maternal grandparents, Vaughn and Jonnie Buchanan Hall of Canton and paternal grandfather, Wayne Clark of Canton. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 29, 2005 at the Canton chapel of Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services with the Reverend Matthew Pruett and Dooker Pace officiating. Burial will follow at Bon-A-Venture Cemetery, Old Clyde Road with military graveside services conducted by VFW Post 5202 and American Legion Post 47. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon - 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Pisgah Athletic Association, No. 1 Black Bear Drive, Canton, NC 28716.
