Ruby Stroupe Taylor

Ruby Stroupe Taylor, peacefully passed away on Sunday night, September 11, 2023, after a brief stay at Silver Bluff Nursing & Rehabilitation in Haywood County. She was born on November 25, 1932, the youngest child of Elmo and Hattie Cole Stroupe. Ruby was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles B. Taylor.

Ruby's life was marked by her dedication to her family and the warmth she brought to their home. As a homemaker, she lovingly created a haven for her loved ones. Her kindness and nurturing spirit were evident in every aspect of her life.

To celebrate Ruby's life, a funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at Ridgeway Baptist Church with the Reverend Jack Collins officiating.  Burial to follow at Ridgeway Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the church.  

Ruby leaves behind a lasting legacy that will be carried forward by her surviving family members. She is survived by two sons: Charles "Eddie" Taylor and his wife Wanda, as well as Mike Taylor and his wife Rita. Ruby was also a cherished grandmother to four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

Throughout her lifetime, Ruby touched the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her kind spirit, unwavering devotion, and gentle demeanor earned her a special place in the hearts of family, friends, and community members alike. Ruby will forever be remembered for her selflessness, love, and the countless lives she enriched.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Ridgeway Baptist Church Pertetual Care Cemetery, 525 Old 19/23 Highway, Candler, NC  28715.
