Royce Brown

Royce Jorden Brown, 82, of Asheville, passed away on Sunday, April 8, 2018. He was born in Pelzer, SC to the late Onnie M. Brown. He resided in Buncombe County for most of his life, and retired after 42 years of service with AT&T. Royce was a lifelong member of VFW Post 891 and was a Korean War Army Veteran.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Stroud.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Fay Shook Brown; children, Rhonda B. (Frank) Willis of California, MD and Robert L. (Brenda) Brown of Candler; grandchildren, Jordan and Julia Willis and Isaiah Brown; sister, Shirley (Jackson) Smith of Candler; Special Uncle, Curtis (Mary) Brown of Asheville; Special Cousin, Larry (Patsy) Brown of Candler, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, April 13th in the Chapel of Moore Funeral Home at Forest Lawn. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial with Military Honors will follow the service at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Candler.
