Roy Scott

Pascagoula, MS - Roy Thomas Scott, age 76, passed away at his home, Tuesday, January 3, 2012. A native of Haywood County, he was the son of the late George Thomas and Lura Pressley Scott. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Frazier and her husband, Hugh L. Frazier, and a niece, Janet Chambers. Tom was a 1953 graduate of Clyde High School and later graduated from Brevard College and UNC at Chapel Hill. He was a Sergeant of the US Marine Corps and retired as an insurance agent. Tom is survived by a sister, Barbara Chambers of Clyde; one brother, Robert M. Scott of Sharpsburg, Georgia; nieces, Linda Baker and Lisa Sims, of Atlanta; and nephews, Charles and Dale Chambers of Canton. A private family service will be held at a later date.
