Roy Kuykendall

Canton - Roy Lewis Kuykendall, 76, passed away on Friday, July 7, 2018 at his residence.

A native of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Lewis Nelson and Grace Farmer Kuykendall. Roy was a carpenter, as well as a mechanic. He enjoyed cars and playing the guitar.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Virginia "Cricket" Creasman Kuykendall; one daughter, Darlene Edwards (Mark) of Waynesville; two sons, David Kuykendall (Renee) and Daryl Kuykendall (Janna) both of Canton; 5 sisters, Linda Mann, Ruby Lee Rhodes, both of Canton, Clara Lou Winstead, Loretta Holcombe, both of Hickory, and Ruth Hart of Flag Staff, AZ; one brother, Fred Kuykendall of Dallas, OR; and one grandson, Daniel Edwards.

A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 in Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Mark Edwards officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
