Roy Blaylock

Roy Lenoir Blaylock, age 70, of the Cruso Community, died Thursday, December 11, 2008 at St. Joseph Hospital. A native of Haywood County, he was a son of the late William Joseph and Viola Revis Blaylock. He was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Frank Blaylock. Roy retired from the Ecusta Corporation and was a United States Army veteran. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Bertha Sharp Blaylock; one son, Scotty Blaylock and his wife, Laura, of Canton; one sister, Hazel Inman; and two granddaughters, Savannah and Emily Blaylock. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, December 14, 2008 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Perry Brindley officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:45 until 3:45 p.m. prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Haywood Regional Medical Center Hospice, 560 Leroy George Drive, Clyde, NC 28721.
