Rosie Waldrup

Rosie Alice Waldrup, 84, of Candler passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at Memorial Mission Hospital.  A native of Yancey County, she was the daughter of the late William and Sally Mae Parker.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Waldrup.

She was a member of Brownsville Methodist Church.

She is survived by her sons, Jack Shook and James Shook both of Candler; three sisters, Margaret Teague, Brenda Jones and Barbara Parker and one grandchild, Noah Phillips.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 20, 2023 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Reverend Ricky Netherton officiating.  The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at Wells Chapel of Faith.

The care of Mrs. Waldrup has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Candler.
