Ronald Duane Risetter, age 68, passed away on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at Memorial Mission Hospital.
A native of Fort Dodge, Iowa he was the son of the late William Leroy and Helen Agnes Nolan Risetter. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Ginger Ingram Hampton, grandson, Andrew Kingery; sisters, Jan Slama and Susan Risetter; and a brother, Jim Risetter. Ronald graduated from St. Edmond High School and was a member of St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church. He was the retired owner of Maggie Valley Cabinetry and co-owner of Headhunters Salon in Waynesville, NC and was the inventor of Goose slinger of which he holds the patent.
Ronald is survived by his wife of 30 years, Julie Villena Risetter; daughters, Rochelle (Shelley) Ovits, of Mesa, Arizona, Becky Ingram, Jennifer Armstrong (Robert) and Cheri Lewis, all of Savannah, Georgia; son, Jay A. Risetter, of Topeka, Kansas; sister, Mary Frances Risetter, of Storm Lake, Iowa; twin brother, Randall (Randy) J. Risetter, of Fort Dodge, Iowa and brother William (Bill) and Sonya Risetter, of Junction City, Kansas; nine grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial mass will be held in the spring.
