Ronald Lowe

Ronald Laverne Lowe, age 72, passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at his residence. A native of Portsmouth, Virginia, he was a son of the late Noah Lowe and Evelyn Baines Lowe Simpson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Nick Lowe. Ronald retired from the Town of Canton in 1997 after having worked for 21 years. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and he enjoyed fishing, talking to friends, and traveling. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Lynda Lenoir Lowe; one sister-in-law, Barbara Lowe and one brother, David Lowe, both of Portsmouth, Virginia; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at Oak Grove Baptist Church with the Reverend Ned Webb and Reverend Bruce Cayton officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
