Ronald Cook

February 5, 1951 — March 13, 2005

Clyde, NC-Ronald James Cook, age 54, of 160 Thistle Ridge, died Sunday, March 13, 2005 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A native of Picton, Ontario, Canada, he was a former resident of Brunswick, Ohio and had lived in Haywood County for the past three years. He was the son of Thomas William Roy Cook and the late Mary Frances Prout Cook. He enjoyed collecting Elvis memorabilia, coin collecting, fishing, and woodworking. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Robin Marie Cook; two daughters, Rhonda Ann Cook and Stephanie Frances Teel, both of Cuyahoga Falls, OH; two sons, Leonard Paul Cook and his wife, Stephanie, of Medina, OH and Richard Anthony Cook, of Brunswick, OH; two sisters, Bonny Lynn Cook, of Ontario and Brenda Gail Kennedy and her husband, Brian, of Indian Trail, NC; three brothers, William Roy Clark and his wife, Kathy, of Nova Scotia, Thomas Arthur Cook and his wife, Joy, and Gerald Douglas Cook, all of Ontario; and a grandson, Tyler Teel. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 17, 2005 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Homes and Cremation Services with Reverend William Cook officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058-5216.
