Roger Rathbone

Clyde-Roger "Mountain Man" Rathbone, 55, of 239 Rathbone Loop, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2006 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A native of Haywood County, and the son of Edna Haynes Rathbone and the late Gaither Rathbone. He was a self-employed logger. He was a member of Lower Fines Creek United Methodist Church, and a member of the Bear Hunter Association. He enjoyed hunting and old cars. In addition to his mother, he is survived by is wife of 20 years, Betty Conard Rathbone; four daughters; two sons; one sister, Rita Kirkpatrick; two brothers, Mike and Randy Rathbone and nine grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 17, 2006 at Wells Funeral Home, Inc. & Cremation Services in Waynesville.
