Robert Underwood

Canton/Brevard - Robert Edwin “Robbie” Underwood, 40, of Brevard, passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2022.  A native of Ft. McClellan, AL, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Joe and Meta Jones Underwood and maternal grandparents, Wilson and Mollie Knight McClure. He was also preceded in death by his best friend, Jake Matthews and all his fallen brothers and sisters in uniform.

Robbie was a 1999 graduate of Pisgah High School.  He proudly served 5 years in the US Army with the 82nd Airborne Division, completing two tours in Iraq as Sergeant.  He also served 14 years as Sergeant with the Hendersonville Police Department.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Eddie and Debbie McClure Underwood of Canton; two daughters, Aniston Michelle Underwood and Emerie Lee Underwood and their mother, Brandy Burnette Underwood all of Canton; brother, Doug Underwood and his girlfriend, Kristen of Fletcher; nephew, Brendan Underwood and niece, Zoey Underwood.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at Pinnacle Church with Rev. Heath Davis, Rev. Josh Fields and Chaplain Chuck Evans officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Members of his Military and Law Enforcement families will serve as honorary pall bearers.
