Robert Moore

Canton, Robert "Bobby" Lee Moore, age 70, passed away on Friday, December 10, 2021, at Haywood House.

A native of Haywood County, he was a son of the late Robert Neil and Sara Guy Moore.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Jeanie Ann Moore.

Bobby was a member of Beulah Baptist Church.  He was employed for over 25 years as a Diesel Mechanic at Carolina Truck & Body.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary Ellen Goldsmith Moore; two daughters, Tammy M. Franklin, and her husband, Thomas, of Canton and Wendy Renee Roach, and her husband, Jim, of Walhalla, South Carolina; son, Chris Moore, and his wife, Helen, of Canton; three sisters, Tina Parr, Joleen Hancock and Donnell Nobles; five brothers, Terry, Richard, Michael and Pat Moore and Wayne Ballew; four grandchildren, Robert Franklin, Blake Franklin, Brihana Griffin and Verena Mosteller; and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 19, 2021, in the Canton chapel of Wells Funeral Homes with Reverend Dan Page officiating.  Burial will follow at Crawford-Ray Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 18, 2021, at Wells Funeral Homes of Canton.
