Robert Mason, Sr.

Waynesville, Robert Lee Mason, Sr., age 74, passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Haywood Regional Medical Center.

A native of Albany, New York, he was the son of the late Richard and Charlotte Doris Isdell Mason. Robert was an electrician, and a member of Dellwood Baptist Church. He enjoyed golfing, his grandbabies and watching his family clog.

Robert is survived by his wife of 54 years, Laney Constant Mason; daughter, Tammy Gaddis (Jackie) of Waynesville; two sons, Robert Lee Mason, Jr. and Jimmy Dean Mason (Anita), all of Waynesville; sister, Donna Miget, of Texas; three grandchildren; Addison and Ethan Mason and James Pitts; and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 13, 2018 at Dellwood Baptist Church with Reverend Bobby Rogers officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
