Robert Hyde

Robert James Hyde, 33, of Arden passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2022. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he was son of Andrew “Andy” Lee Hyde and the late, Tita Hyde who died in 2021. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Edith Darryl Taylor and Bob and Dorothy Hyde; uncle, Bobby Hyde and aunt, Cathy Hyde Lunsford.

Robert was an avid fisherman and went fishing every change he had. He and his mom were members of VFW Post No. 10349, they enjoyed going and bonding during their times there, and Robert continued to help after her passing last year.  He had an outgoing, likable nature and made friends wherever he went.  He was a member of Chapel Hill Baptist Church.

In addition to his father, Andy, he is survived by his sisters, Natasha Slater and her husband, Ryan of Honolulu, Hawaii and Kimberly Hyde of Arden; brother, Tyler Hyde of Hazelwood, NC; two nephews, Ethan Hyde and Mason Childers; two nieces, Bailey and Alyssa Womack.  He also leaves behind some close friends who always had his best interest at heart, KC, Marianne, Tammy Myers, Michael Barnette and Linda Branam.

A memorial service will be planned at a later date.

The care of Mr. Hyde has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Candler.
