Robert Eller

Canton - Robert Lee Eller, 92, was called to his heavenly home, Friday, August 17, 2018.

Robert was born January 21, 1926 in Towns County, GA and was the son of the late Carl and Mae Crawford Eller. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. Robert served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of WWII. He was employed with Dayco for 30 years. Robert was a member of the Clay County Masonic Lodge #301 AF&AM.

Robert is survived by his wife of 62 years, Lou Jean Kimsey Eller; a daughter, Dianne Wilson of Canton; three grandchildren, Brooke Wilson Ballard (T.J.), Shane Wilson (Nicole), and Aprile Wilson Simpkins (Sean) and six great-grandchildren, Easton and Emmalyn Wilson, Kayden, Payton, Rylan, and Graelyn Simpkins.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, August 19, 2018 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Caleb Simmons officiating.

Memorials in Robert's name may be made to Oxford Orphanage, 600 College Street, Oxford, N.C. 27565.
