Robert Fisher

Waynesville-Robert D. "Rob" Fisher, age 85, of Mauney Cove, died on Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at his residence. A native of Haywood County, he was the son of the late David C. and Annie Mildred Rathbone Fisher. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ben and three sisters, Hazel, Glee, and Rose. He was employed at Unagusta and was later employed by the State of North Carolina. He retired in 1983. He attended Bob Jones University during the 60's and was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. He is survived by two sisters, Marie Ewart, of Waynesville and Esther Kirkpatrick of Thomasville, NC; one brother, James Fisher, of Waynesville; nieces and nephews; and his church family. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2007 at Fellowship Baptist Church with Reverend Anthony Greene and Reverend Kenneth Rhinehart officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday prior the service at the church and at other times, the family will be at the home of Marie Ewart, 1288 Big Cove Road, Waynesville. Memorials may be given to Fellowship Baptist Church, 232 Mauney Cove Road, Waynesville NC 28786.
