Robert Chafin, Jr

"Greatly Missed"

Ashdown, Arkansas, Robert Miles Chafin, Jr., 74, passed away on Monday, March 26, 2018 after fighting a very courageous battle with cancer.

A native of Haywood County, however he lived in Little River County in Ashdown for over 50 years. He was an avid golfer, loved watching sports and loved being around his family.

Robert is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann Birchfield Chafin; daughter, Misty Chafin Garland; two sons, Robert Chafin III (Terri) and Patrick Owen Chafin; sister, Elaine Madison (Jim); grandchildren, Ashli Garland Edwards, Bradley Owen Chafin and Makenna Chafin; great-grandson, Noah Michael Dean Edwards; and many nieces and nephews.

Robert was a wonderful husband and father, an awesome Papa and Great-Papa. He was much loved and will be greatly missed. We love you honey, dad, pops, papa and wowo. Rest in Peace!

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Greenhill cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:00 until 9:45 a.m. prior to services at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
