Ricky Sawyer

Clyde – Richard “Ricky” Dale Sawyer, 59, passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at his residence.

Ricky was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and a son of Joyce Amelia Summey Sawyer and the late James Harvey Sawyer.  In addition to his dad, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Donna Gaddis Sawyer.  Ricky loved fishing, collecting eagles, dream catchers, postage stamps, and knives.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by three brothers and their wives, James Earl Sawyer and Anna of Randleman, Gary Dean Sawyer and Robin of Canton and Robert Lee Sawyer and Susan of Clyde.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, November 22, 2019 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Ron Gardner and Reverend Jamie Gardner officiating.  Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
