Richard "Richie" Collier

Clyde, Richard Thearle Collier, age 71, passed away on Monday, December 6, 2021, at his residence.

A native of Ohio, he proudly served his country in the United States Army and Airforce, during the Vietnam era.  Richard retired from the military as a Master Sergeant, he was an avid marksman and had a love for small arms and weaponry.  He enjoyed building guns and enjoyed archery and watching sports.

Richard is survived by his wife of 18 years, Sally Collier; daughter, Sheila Marie Collier, of Clyde; stepdaughter, Julie Anna Conklin, of Florida; son, Shaun Lee Collier, of Clyde; and a special dog, Maple Mae.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. The family will received friends prior at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until the service time.
