Richard Carl Swanson

Richard Carl Swanson, 89, died on Thursday, July 20, 2023.  Born in 1933, in Evanston, Illinois, he was a career mechanical-electrical engineer, working for Square D. He was also in charge of all new construction and building.

As a man, Richard was kind, generous and loving, and had many friends who loved him for his beautiful soul, as well as for his intellect and brilliance. The world has lost a great person.

He is mourned by his wife of 45 years, Joanna Swanson; his children, Lynne Piser and her husband, Peter, son Andrew Swanson, and daughter, Karla Wilcox and her husband, Scott; and nine grandchildren.

A simple cremation was held at Richard’s request. There will be no services.
