Richard Davis

Waynesville, Richard Davis, age 52, of 1878 Camp Branch Road, passed away on Friday, July 30, 2010. A native of Hardee, Florida, he was the son of the late Geneva Davis. He was an employee of Blossman Gas. Richard was a former sergeant in the US Army and enjoyed playing golf, watching NASCAR, doing home improvements, and being a loving husband and father. He was a member of New Covenant Church. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Julia A. Davis; one son, Sergeant Brandon C. Davis of Ft. Bragg, North Carolina; and two daughters, Fareign Kira Davis of Greenville, South Carolina and Mary Elizabeth Davis of Waynesville. A memorial service will be at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at New Covenant Church with Reverend Nick Honerkamp officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. prior to service at the church.
