Reinaldo Rodriguez

Reinaldo “Ray” Rodriguez, 71, of Candler, NC, passed away on Saturday, December 4th, 2021, at his home.  A native of Puerto Rico, he was the son of Alejandro and the late Nivia Rodriguez. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Rosemarie Bennett Rodriguez, in 2002.

Ray spent many years working as a data analyst at The Hartford Insurance Company in Hartford, CT, and United Parcel Service, UPS, at their Mahwah, NJ office. Ray was an avid sports fan with a steadfast love for his Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Yankees. He enjoyed playing golf even as a lefty as he felt it was more of a challenge. Ray enjoyed his home in Candler, and he was continuously building something new, creating a new project, and learning the art of gardening food and flowers.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Teona Rodriguez of Candler, NC; his son, LtCol Eric Rodriguez, USMC, and his wife, Amy, of Allentown, NJ; three brothers, Jose Rodriguez and his wife, Wendy, of Austin, TX, Hector Rodriguez and his wife, Sandra, of St. Augustine, FL, and Charlie Rodriguez and his wife, Mary, of San Antonio, TX and three grandchildren; Dominic, Olivia, and Lucas.

All are welcome to attend a visitation from 10:00 – 11:00 AM on Monday, December 13th, 2021, at Carmon Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor, CT. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM, with Fr. John Melnick officiating.  Following the funeral service, the committal service will be held in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery in Bloomfield, CT.
