Raymond 'Reid' Hendricks

Waynesville, Raymond Reid Hendricks, 64, passed away on September 10, 2019 at his residence.

A native of Waynesville, Reid was a son of the late James Edward and Pauline Reid Hendricks.  Reid was a member of the Ratcliffe Cove Baptist Church.  He retired from Junaluska Animal Hospital after many years of service as a veterinary technician.  Reid was a professional body builder and personal trainer.  He loved the outdoors – photographing nature, camping, and hiking.

He is survived by his brother, Carrol Hendricks, and his wife, Pauline, of Waynesville; a niece, Diane Robinson of Waynesville; a great-niece, Kaylee Robinson of Waynesville; and special friends and training partners, Nancy Lux and Brandy Ferguson.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Tracy Smith officiating.  Private family burial will be at Ratcliffe Cove Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.

The care of Reid has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Homes.
