Randy Mccarter

Randy McCarter, age 63, passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at his residence. A native of Haywood County, he was a son of the late Theodore Dillard and Blanche Sams McCarter. Randy was a member of Meadow Grove Baptist Church. He loved fishing, hunting, and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Doris Ann Farmer McCarter; two daughters, Cindy McCurry and her husband, Ray, of Burnsville, and Christy McCarter and her fiancé, Eric Walter, of Canton; one son, Tommy McCarter and his wife, Theresa, of Oak Creek, Wisconsin; one step-son, Cody Parton of Canton; two sisters, Shirley Simpson and her husband, Jimmy, and Mary Burrell and her husband, Gary, all of Canton; mother of his children, Jacque McCarter; and four grandchildren, Colton Brooks, Bella Perkins, Keagan McCarter, and Lexi Hakala. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 28, 2013 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Mark Edwards officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Med-West Haywood Hospice, 560 Leroy George Drive, Clyde, NC 28721.
