Posey William Revis

Posey William Revis, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2025, at the age of 92. Born on August 2, 1933, in Haywood, North Carolina,

Throughout his life, Posey found true happiness in the great outdoors, where he could appreciate nature's beauty. He was not only an outdoor enthusiast but also a passionate collector of guns and coins. Posey's personality shone brightly; he was known as a "Big Cut-up" among friends and family, always ready with a joke or a story that would inspire laughter and fond memories. Posey was a proud Heavy Machine Operator and took great pride in his work, including his recent project that contributed to the construction of I26.

Posey is survived by his sister, Portia Gordon, and many nieces and nephews who will carry on his legacy of joy and kindness. He was predeceased by his loving parents, Jess Revis and Reldy Rogers Revis, his cherished wife Donna Revis, who passed away in 2009, and his sisters Isabelle Smith, Valerie Revis, and brothers Felbert, Walter, David, Jerry, and Junior Revis.

Graveside services are to be held at Shepherd Memorial Park located in Hendersonville, NC on Friday, August 23rd at 11am with Pastor Mike Hipps officiating.

The family has entrusted the care of Posey William Revis to Wells Funeral Home of Canton.
